A Nutsche filter is commonly used for the filtration of semi-solid/crystallized material under vacuum. Depending on the process requirement, filtration can be done on a hyflow bed or can be directly filtered through filter cloth. Vacuum is applied in the bottom half of the vessel under the perforated plate, thus leading to the fast removal of liquid from material. The top of the vessel can be kept closed or open depending on process requirements.
